WHSE Lead

Based in Adelaide, Mechanical Vegetation Solutions is an established and well respected provider of Arboricultural and other services to Government, Councils, Civil, Commercial and private clients. MVS Group also have an operating firewood plant and harvesting areas.

An opportunity to join a newly formed management team under the guidance of a recently appointed General Manager is now available for immediate start.

The WHSE Lead will play an integral part in further developing, advising and implementing systems and procedures. This is a dynamic role that will engage across two MVS Group sites as well as visit project sites to ensure safety and compliance in all areas. This position needs to “live” and display safety in all facets.

Our ideal candidate has obtained and displays:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
• Return to Work Coordinator training (RTWC)
• Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental and AS/NZ 4801 Safety Management Standards.
• Experience in conducting serious incident investigations
• Experience in undertaking and leading audits
• Excellent time management skills
• Problem solving through complex matters
• Ability to prioritise competing tasks
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White card)

Additionally the below would be advantageous, however not essential:

• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Lead Auditor training (Integrated Management Systems/WHS)
• Incident cause analysis method (ICAM) training
• Experience with Job scheduling software (Simpro)
• Experience with safety management software (Skytrust)
• Senior First Aid training
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White card)

MVS works locally in Adelaide and across the Hills districts, however visiting remote work sites to ensure compliance may be required.

With a proven record in training arborists and a high level of commitment to the industry MVS is attempting to lead the industry in both skillset, safety and compliance. It is paramount the WHSE Lead understands the importance of this role to both the company and staff members driving compliance, spotting trends and ensuring a safe work environment.

Full time position with annual salary between $80,000 - $90,000
