Team Leader (Training) 

We are a large and fully integrated infrastructure business chartered with a responsibility that is pivotal to the success of Queensland and its people. Our culture is one based around safety and performance.

We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader Training to provide leadership and direction to our Train Service Delivery Training team. Based at Bowen Hills, you will lead the Foundation school schedules for Trainee Drivers and Trainee Guards which will include the creation and management of learning materials, facilitator allocation and ensuring that unit objectives are met.

Other responsibilities include:

1. The maintenance, coordination and monitoring of training strategies and programs for Traincrew.

2. Leading the team of Tutor Guards and Tutor Drivers to contribute towards the achievement of performance objectives, effective people management and a positive work culture.

3. Assisting in the coordination of Train Service Delivery Training, Recruitment and Selection and Change Management.

4. Establishing effective working partnerships both internally and externally to facilitate the activities of Train Service Delivery and associated areas of Queensland Rail.

5. Providing operational support and response to day to day operations of incidents in accordance with Queensland Rail's Safety Management System.

6. Maintaining contemporary knowledge and/or source information on emerging issues within and outside the organisation relating to Operations and Train Service Delivery.

7. Leading a co-operative team culture, encouraging positive work attitudes and a commitment to excellence in customer service whilst promoting autonomous work environments.

Previous experience in developing and managing training schools and materials combined with a technical learning and development background are essential requirements of this role and will help ensure your success.

Other requirements include:

1. High level of leadership and management skills to achieve business outcomes within a complex operational environment.

2. Extensive knowledge of railway operations and associated legislative and corporate governance requirements.

3. High level of skill in leading, planning, implementing and integrating operational initiatives to achieve best practise.

4. High level of interpersonal, consultation and negotiation skills to achieve business objectives.

5. High level understanding of the framework, application and competency development requirements as prescribed under the provisions of the Australian Qualifications Training Framework.

6. Willingness to commit to achieving a Cert IV Training & Assessment if successful.

Contract type: Permanent, full time.

Annual salary: $103,995 plus super.
