Capital Projects Engineer

 

The Position

In the position of Capital Projects Engineer your key focus will be to assist the water and sewer department to comply with the Statutory Reporting requirements and the implementation of the Capital Works Program. 

Reporting to the Team Leader Planning and Compliance, you will be required to assist in the tasks required to be undertaken by the department which include but are not limited to the project management of minor capital works undertaken by Council and Contractors. You will liaise with the water and sewer department to determine capital works program requirements and prepare preliminary design, drawings and estimates for the capital works and assist in managing and updating asset data of all capital works undertaken and ensuring all mapping is current in the system.

Selection Criteria

Essential Criteria –

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering Project Management 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Local Government 
  • Current Valid NSW Class C Drivers Licence, ongoing employment is conditional on maintaining this Licence

Desirable Criteria -

  • Experience in database management
  • Engineering Design & Drawing skills
  • Estimating Skills
  • Good report writing skills


Salary Details

Salary $82,721 pa + Super – 70 hours per fortnight – Flexible Hours Policy allows a work life balance
