What will you do?

We have an opportunity for an experienced practitioner to take on a leading role in our Renewables team in Melbourne and look to lead our Wind Engineering specialisation as we strengthen our overall capability in this space.

Coming in at a Senior to Associate level, you will be able to shape our approach to clients, take on line management responsibilities within the team and most importantly, be included in the succession plan for our Renewables Lead position.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

• Leading development studies relating to wind generation projects ranging from early stage resource assessments through to detailed design.
• Lead / prepare designs, review plans and documentation relating to wind farm developments and provide advice to clients where appropriate
• Conduct construction site visits, engage with contractors and manage the QA aspects of project delivery.
• Engage with renewables developers, EPC contractors, OEMs and development financiers to provide technical, delivery and commercial advice/oversight.
• Engage with our broader Renewables capabilities across Queensland, New South Wales & New Zealand to ensure a consistent Aurecon approach
• Line management duties which will expand in number over time
• The position will be based in the Melbourne office with intermittent site visits as required.  Client focus areas will be, but are not limited to, Victoria and South Australia.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. Experience in Wind Engineering projects, either from an OEM, EPC or Owners Engineering perspective and a formal qualification in Renewable Energy, Mechanical or Electrical Engneering.
