As a Street cleaner, some of your day to day duties will include:
Maintain the cleanliness of footpaths, streets, laneways and carparks, providing and maintaining a high standard of street cleaning services within the City of Stonnington
Maintain relationships with residents, traders, the general public, other Council Departments and represent Council by promoting a good image as a Unit
Follow the daily schedule and ensure that the day’s work is completed to comply with ‘Best Value’ specifications
Carrying out all duties efficiently, and in a safe and competent manner without risk to yourself or the community
Desired Skills and Experience
To succeed in this position you will need to have:
Capacity to perform safe and competent manual street cleaning duties, using hand tools with procedures, manuals and guidelines
Knowledge of and ability to comply with Safe Manual Handling Techniques and Occupational Health and Safety standards, policies and practices
Ability and desire to provide support and assistance to team members and positively contribute to the team culture.
Good verbal communication skills.
A current driver’s license
