Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Manager

The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSW Manager to join our team in Richmond as a HSW Manager, reporting through to the GM Health, Safety & Wellbeing;

As a key member of the HSW team and working in conjunction with site HSW Leads, you will business partner and provide ongoing safety leadership, coaching and support to all Corporate teams including our Sales and Farm Source teams and end to end Supply Chain teams.

Your role will be responsible for:

• Supporting the development and implementation of the HSW strategy and related projects
• Leading investigations (RCA and ICAM) and supporting corrective action implementation
• Coaching and supporting teams to achieve compliance to HSW Management System with the aim to achieve resilient audit ratings
• Contributing to the development of the HSW management system and supporting its implementation to achieve compliance and resilient audit ratings
• Ensuring continuous improvement through overall hazard and risk mitigation

Key to your success:

• Lead, coach and imbed Health & Safety imperatives – supporting growth, providing structure, hands-on leadership, sharing best practices and providing direction to ensure compliance and engagement to the organisations HSW vision.
• Drive awareness of common risks and identify the changes needed to reduce exposure to these.
• Lead and deliver behavioural and transformational change in line with regional and national strategy.
• Building effective relationships

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role you will be an excellent communicator and facilitator, with solid generalist experience in HSW ideally within a transport, logistics or manufacturing environment. Breadth of experience across various organisations implementing Chain of Responsibility procedures is essential.

You will also bring:

• Strong influencing skills and effective problem-solving ability.
• An understanding and hands-on experience with COR and National Heavy Vehicle Legislation.
• 7+ years’ experience in Health and Safety in a high-risk environment.
• Bachelor in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Preferred training in: ICAM, Cert IV Training & Assessment, lead auditor.
