This is a permanent full time position within Council’s Civil Services Section. The salary range for the position is $45,414 - $54,157, plus superannuation.

Purpose of the position:

To undertake works, including:

  • operation of a roller in the completion of construction and maintenance works;
  • operation of plant in completing Council works;
  • undertaking general labouring activities;
  • completion of general documentation associated with completion of work activities; and
  • working collaboratively as part of a work gang.

Council applies the definition of Aboriginality as defined in the NSW Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983. The Act requires a person to, be of Aboriginal decent, identify as an Aboriginal person and be accepted by the Aboriginal community in which he/she lives. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants must demonstrate Aboriginality in addition to addressing the selection criterion.

Applicants can demonstrate their Aboriginality by:

  • demonstrating membership of a Local Aboriginal Land Council; or
  • presenting a certificate or paper confirming Aboriginality from a recognised Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community organisation with a common seal.
