We’re looking for a highly motivated Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll be required to assess engineering components of proposed developments and supervise construction of subdivision civil work while liaising with a range of stakeholders and providing technical engineering support.

You’ll be able to live and work in the Clarence Valley where we enjoy the finer things in life like catching a fish or a wave before work and river views on your daily commute; or perhaps you’d like to ride your horse on a hobby farm instead. What you need to know...

  • permanent full time - 70 hours per fortnight
  • salary - $84,062 - $100,246 plus Civil Liability Allowance
  • a 9 day fortnight
  • location - Maclean
  • the opportunity to accrue time in lieu
  • the opportunity to 'purchase' leave

About the role

As the Development Engineer you will:

  • Process the engineering component of development applications
  • Assess construction certificates
  • Inspect and supervise civil subdivision works
  • Provide technical engineering support to Council’s management
  • Work with a range of internal and external stakeholders

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Have good communication & negotiation skills
  • Be able to solve challenges
  • Have experience in design and/or construction/supervision of civil engineering works
