What you need to know...
About the role
Are you interested in participating in the region-wide collaboration known as the North Coast Weed Action Program?
Do you have what it takes to be an effective team member in a proactive section of Council?
In this role with the Natural Resource Management team we are looking for someone with previous experience in working with landholders.
You will be responsible for undertaking inspections of all lands for invasive weed infestations under the Biosecurity Act and reporting outcomes to Council.
We are looking for someone with the ability to inform and advise landholders on a range of effective weed control techniques, and seek co-operation in the control of weeds across the landscape.
You will also assist in the NRM weeds team with undertaking on-ground control activities and public education programs undertaken by Council.

This position is based at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
A probation period applies to this position.
