What does your next role look like?

In this role you will be the safety advisor for our Huntingwood site, which will include driving our strategic WHS agenda through your specialist advice and knowledge. Safety is our number 1 priority, so we are needing someone to encourage and support a culture of safe work, and ensuring compliance with WHS regulations. So what else will you be responsible for?

• Identifying, assessing and resolving key WHS issues at the site;
• Coordinate the activities of the site safety committee;
• Assist in the implementation of the annual WHS training and development plan;
• Support the implementation of WHS action plans in order to improve site reduction of injuries;
• Ensure that safety emergency response plans are developed, maintained, and rehearsed;
• Conduct audits and risk assessments and integrate recommendations into the broader site strategic direction.
   

What ingredients do you need to be successful?

• 3-5 years’ experience within a safety role;
• Relevant WHS qualification;
• Experience within FMCG industry is desired;
• Experience using a contractor management and safety reporting system;
• An individual who has a Continuous Improvement mindset and is not afraid to challenge the norm;
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business;
• Experience in completing audits;
• Have a thorough working knowledge of the WHS Acts and Regulations as they apply within the State of NSW.
