WHAT YOU’LL DO

This position provides technical support under professional supervision to ensure that project designs meet operational requirements & specified engineering standards. This is a site position, offered on a 2:1 roster from Perth for a 12 month contract engagement.

• Ensuring all electrical and instrumentation engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Obtaining appropriate approvals of & documenting calculations, specifications, variations 
• Preparing documentation for standards, procedures and safe working practices
• Preparing preliminary and detailed designs of electrical and instrumentation engineering projects
• Assisting with the preparation of the electrical and instrumentation engineering budget
• Liaison with the Project Manager, design team, operations, EPCM service providers and contract personnel

WHO YOU ARE

Ideally you will come with 2 years of work experience post-graduate within a similar environment (mining & resource either direct or through an EPCM). We are looking for a passionate and dynamic individual, with or without prior site experience to join our team on a Brownfields mining project.

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, paired with at least 2 years post-graduate experience
• Prior experience working on site is beneficial, but is not necessary
• Knowledge of HV & LV power generation, with regard to design, commissioning and construction
• Ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environment
• Good level of analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of Australian Legislation and Australian Standards
• The ability to work well both independently and with the team to ensure the overall objectives are met
