Design Engineer

  • Remuneration : Commencing from $120,240 plus 15% superannuation
    3 years Maximum-Term, Full-time
    Canberra location


Icon Water are seeking a passionate engineer to work on challenging, unique projects. You will be part of our diverse and dynamic project delivery team responsible for the management of design packages from concept design through to detailed design including actively managing consultants.

Icon Water is responsible for owning and operating Canberra’s network of water and wastewater infrastructure and assets including dams, reservoirs, water and sewerage treatment plants, water and sewerage pumping stations to ensure the delivery of safe drinking water and reliable sewerage services. What does the role look like?

Being successful in this role will give you the opportunity to work on innovative and challenging design projects across all engineering disciplines. Some of our major programs in the near future include upgrades to our unique sewage treatment plant, renewing our biggest reservoirs, developing renewable energy systems and increasing the capacity of our infrastructure to make way for our growing city.

What are we looking for? (Selection Criteria)

1. Tertiary qualification in Engineering
2. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management
3. Validated knowledge of engineering and design processes
4. Proven experience in technical report writing
5. Experience in design consulting desirable
6. Experience in design contract management and administration desirable
