The role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Services Engineer to join our busy Building Services team in Adelaide.

In this varied role, you will work on projects across a number of sectors including defence, residential retail, health, commercial and education. You will primarily be involved in the design, specification and delivery of electrical building services engineering including electrical reticulation, back-up generation, general power and lighting, structured cabling, security, fire detection and alarm systems.

Whilst not essential, HV experience will be regarded highly.

You will make your mark by:

• Liaising with clients to understand and manage their needs to deliver projects on time
• Completing electrical engineering investigations and designs
• Preparing a range of technical reports and assisting with the preparation of proposals
• Supporting, training and mentoring junior staff.
• Performing site inspections and completing site surveillance reports
• Supervising drafting staff

As the ideal candidate you will have:

• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• A sound understanding of electrical building services engineering technologies
• Proficiency with AGi32, PerfectLite, ELUM Tools and PowerCAD software design packages
• Previous experience in delivering a range of electrical building services engineering projects on time and within budget
• The ability to prioritise and work effectively across multiple projects
• Sound written communication skills with the ability to prepare a range of business documentation to a high standard
• A strong commitment to safety in the workplace
• A degree in Electrical Engineering 

Whilst not essential, previous experience in an engineering consultancy and chartered engineering status will be regarded highly.
