The Role
Deliver a Combat System (CS) to the Mission System (MS) Director in line with the defined functional accountability. This includes managing and adjusting integration requirements to ensure the CS works seamlessly within the broader MS.
- Develop, maintain and measure performance against a CS Strategy and plan to ensure Program Strategic Objectives are met via iterative development and integration of the CS.
- Manage CS budget to ensure capability realisation IAW the Operating Cash Flow and Operating Support Intent through a cost model reported to the Business Director.
- Manage CS risks, issues and mitigations via reporting to Program Management Director.
- Manage the CS component of design program using the ‘triumvirate’ of the Design Management Meeting, Design Integrate Project Teams and Points of Contact, working closely with Functional and Project Directors to support coherent delivery of the capability.
- Manage contracts referring to the Business Director and MS Director for guidance and approval on contract changes.
