We currently have an exciting 12 month fixed term opportunity available for a site based HR Superintendent at Wilpinjong Mine. Wilpinjong Mine is an open-cut mine located near Mudgee in the western coalfields of NSW. It supplies domestic power generator AGL and export coal shipped to customers in the Asia Pacific.
As the HR Superintendent, you will report to the HR Manager based in Brisbane, with a dotted line to the site General Manager. As a key member of the site Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will work closely with the SLT to provide high level HR advice and services encompassing IR, ER, talent acquisition, staff retention, employee engagement, performance management and staff training and development.
As the sole HR representative on site the, responsibilities will range from generalist and recruitment administration to development and implementation of high level strategic initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will need strong organisational and time management skills, be able to make decisions and have a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, attention to detail and the consistent and timely application of policy and process.
You will have experience in a similar role working in a mining/resources environment, hold formal Human Resource qualifications and have a demonstrated knowledge of contemporary human resource practices, organisational development and change initiatives. You will be a motivated self-starter with exceptional communication, negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to work autonomously.
